Another foggy morning at Kinner....

Just another foggy morning. .
Kids wait for the bus to school...
And a man goes for a stroll...
Life seems still on the surface...
Turbulence is casually masked.
Nothing has changed here...
And nothing is expected to change...

Sunrise...

The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round. ~ John Muir

The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.  ~Galileo

Ways to Beat the Heat !! - 2

The heat and the humidity here in Karwar is unbearable, even in the early morning, just as the sun rises...

These dogs are a living proof...
No amount of dipping inthe sea waves will permanently take away the heat.
And the relief is just temporary.

Good News is that South West Monsoon will hit Kerala in a couple of days. Hope to see some rain before the end of next week...

Till then....

Day Break at Karwar Beach

This picture was taken, Just after the Sunrise at Karwar Beach...
and found this wonderful poem to go along with it....
Though the poem is about a sunset, I guess it goes well with the picture.

Daybreak

- Galway Kinnell

On the tidal mud, just before sunset,

dozens of starfishes

were creeping. It was

as though the mud were a sky

and enormous, imperfect stars

moved across it as slowly

as the actual stars cross heaven.

All at once they stopped,

and, as if they had simply

increased their receptivity

to gravity, they sank down

into the mud, faded down

into it and lay still, and by the time

pink of sunset broke across them

they were as invisible

as the true stars at daybreak.

Got this picture just in time, as the lead weights of the Spiral Fishing Net was hitting the surface of the super-calm water surface....
Oh wish I had a better camera, I would have captured the lead weights of the fishing-net hitting the water surface.....
