Established in 1912, the St. Joseph's Church in Sadashivgad village of Karwar, was once administered by the Portugese Priests of Portuguese occupied Goa. Prior to this church there was another Old Church built prior to the year 1818. Even now Documents are found from the year 1896 written in Portugese, and only after 1930 or so, English came to be used, which has continued till now.
