Another Sunset from the Tagore Beach Sunset Series at Karwar

“Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are there cannot be one without the other yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel I remember wondering to be always together yet forever apart?”

Wasted!

"You never come back, not all the way. Always there is an odd distance between you and the people you love and the people you meet, a barrier thin as the glass of a mirror, you never come all the way out of the mirror; you stand, for the rest of your life, with one foot in this world and no one in another, where everything is upside down and backward and sad."

At the High Tea time....

Its late Afternoon, or early evening at #Karwar, and this is how the Sea appears, shiny and shimmering orange.

And a short verse I wrote:
"Men of Wisdom love the Mountains,
And men of Knowledge love the Sea!
In Karwar you will find both of these,
where Mountains stretch into the Sea,
And the Aqua marine color them Green!"

200 illegal huts along Karwar beach demolished

200 illegal huts along Karwar beach demolished

However, when the earthmovers tried to clear the huts near Aquarium, many fishermen protested and even blocked them. While the women from the community were weeping over their plight, some of the protests burnt portraits of District Incharge minister R V Deshpande and local legislator Sateesh Sail.

"The action is being taken following the apex court order and it is under the guidance of district administration that taluk officials have cleared the huts. But the district administration is also committed to the welfare of the traditional fishermen.

The administration is contemplating providing place near London Bridge and Devekar College for fishermen to keep their fishing equipment like boats, nets and others,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner H Prasanna.
