RiP Karwar Beach - Toy-train

Way back in 2008 this #ToyTrain used to run on a Oval track laid in between the   #Seashore of #Karwarbeach and the #NH17, now #NH66.

#Monsoons of 2 years caused huge #Erosion, washing away the Tracks twice in a couple of years, said to have been a direct result of the #dredging in the Naval Base controlled sea, while it was under construction.

Now only #memories remain.

And the #station got converted into a Restaurant.

A #planetarium also was built in the same period which also got converted to another Restaurant.

Funnily,  the Karwar Municipal Council Web page still refers to the Toy Train, Planetarium, as if they are still 'present'. (Pic attached).

Maybe they are being Sarcastic.

#Tremella_mesenterica (not sure)

Appears in #Rainy weather.

Destroys wood internally.

This used to be a very busy place when the Kali bridge wasn't constructed prior to 1983.

Now after the government ban on Sand mining, it has become even more desolate.
