A near permanent fixture at the Flower Chowk (Main Rickshaw Stand) at Karwar is this Lady, who has been here since more than 60 years, selling Flowers, local fruits, Cashewnuts and locally grown vegetables.

Many ladies recall, going to her asking for the prices, and if they do not have flowers in their hair, she will make such ladies stop, wear a woven flower, and will sermonize on how a "Sumangali" should be.
